Yoga.  So many wonderful thoughts and feelings come flooding in when I think of what yoga is and does for me.  Like so many, my yoga journey began years ago with the thought of being active, gaining flexibility and my main focus was on the physical benefits of yoga.  Fast forward a few years and my yoga philosophy has drastically changed. Although I still greatly enjoy the physical benefits of yoga, my approach is much more of a holistic one reaching all aspects of self, including that of mind, body and soul.  Quickly I began to realize that the practice of yoga has the ability to root its way into every aspect of your life.  Your relationships change, the way you view the world and most importantly how you view yourself!

Currently, I am a registered yoga teacher having completed my 200 hour YTT through the Deva Tree School of Yoga.  I am also a certified cycle instructor, and MOSSA group fitness instructor coaching both weight training and a yoga/Pilates program. When not on the mat, I work in the public education sector in Special Education. This chosen career path has allowed me to grow empathetically and encourages me to provide an atmosphere where inclusiveness is a must.  I am dedicated to the learning process and taking every opportunity to expand my knowledge and grow as both a yoga teacher and as a human.

As a yoga teacher I strive to create a space free of judgement and full of compassion.   I live life by leading with my heart. I teach a Hatha based yoga (a class consisting of meditation, breath practice and asana – poses/postures) which allows for inner exploration to deepen the connection to oneself.  I am committed to creating a place that allows you to be true to who you are and honour your authenticity.  In short, the only relationship we will have that lasts an entire lifetime is with ourselves so take the time to nurture it.  Most importantly, I hope that throughout your yoga journey you realize how truly, freaking awesome you are!
